Maruti Suzuki Fronx: 5 Things To Know

Based on the well-known Baleno hatchback, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx will likely be the brand's most significant new launch this year.

The Fronx is not our market's first high-riding compact crossover, but what sets it apart from its competitors.

Although the Fronx is 5 mm longer, 20 mm wider, and 50 mm taller than the Baleno, it shares the same Heartect platform with the latter and has a similar wheelbase.

The Fronx will be equally well-specced because it takes the Baleno's complete equipment list as a model.

Either a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox or a 5-speed manual transmission will be included with this engine.

The tried-and-true 90 horsepower, 1.2-litre K-Series engine from Maruti will also be in service, paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.

It would compete favourably in the compact SUV sector with vehicles like the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite with an anticipated price range of Rs 8 lakh–Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
