MG Comet EV Revealed

The Comet will be the name of MG Motor's future small EV in India, the company has confirmed.

Also, this marks the debut of MG's India-specific model, which is based on sibling brand Wuling's Air EV .

The Hector and Gloster SUVs from MG are likewise named after British planes from World War Two.

The India-specific The Comet EV shares a similar appearance to the model offered in Indonesia.

It gets a tall, stubby snout, a wraparound strip with LED lighting components under the windscreen, and a two-tone front fascia.

Its small size may give the impression that it will be marketed as a cheap car, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

Battery power for the Comet EV is anticipated to be provided by a 20–25 kWh battery.
