Volvo To Launch Minimum 6 Evs By 2026

One of the automakers pledging to solely produce electric vehicles by the end of the decade is Volvo. 

According to Reuters, who quotes "two people with knowledge of the preparations," the information was obtained. 

Volvo is reportedly aiming to develop its own version of the Zeekr 009 MPV for the Asian markets, according to a story from earlier this year.

The company has never created a family van before and wants to be safe by starting with an existing model. 

Under the hood, adjustments could be made.

The article also makes the assumption that the XC90 and XC60 SUVs will be converted to electric drivetrains. 

The S60 and S90, as well as their corresponding V60 and V90 waggon models, appear to be subject to the same rules.

The EX90, a large three-row electric SUV that had its North American premiere at the 2023 CES last month.

With a peak output of 496 horsepower (370 kilowatts) and 671 pound-feet (910 Newton-meters) of immediate torque, the most potent model has a dual-motor system.
