The BMW X3 20d M Sport, a new variation added by BMW to the X3 lineup, is now available for Rs 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This increases the price by Rs 2.6 lakh above the current 20d Luxury model. BMW has completely phased out the petrol-powered X3 and added a new type. Moreover, BMW recently changed the available models of the 5 Series sedan and dropped the 630d model from the 6 Series lineup.
The BMW X3 20d M Sport Luxury edition has a more elegant look than the M Sport version, which has sportier front and rear bumpers, a blacked-out window frame, a blacked-out roof rail, a blacked-out diffuser, and 20-inch alloy wheels with blue brake callipers. Brushed aluminium trim and an M-spec leather steering wheel are the only interior upgrades. A 12.3-inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera, Harman Kardon sound system, heads-up display, and ambient lighting are just a few of the technical elements included with the BMW X3 20d M Sport.
The X3 20d M Sport’s powertrain remains unchanged, with a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 190 horsepower and 400 Nm while being mated to an 8-speed automated transmission to drive all four wheels.
An eight-speed automatic transmission and a 252hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine were both prior options for the X3. As BMW has removed this engine from its lineup, the X3 is now a diesel-only SUV. As a result, the X3 is the only SUV in its class without a petrol engine.
The Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Volvo XC60, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Lexus NX are just a few of the midsize luxury SUVs that the X3 competes against. The Lexus NX has a strong-hybrid powertrain, but the Audi, Mercedes, and Volvo are only available with a petrol engine. The X3 20d M Sport immediately competes with the Discovery Sport Diesel R-Dynamic SE since it is the only SUV to have a diesel engine.
The new-generation M2 coupe, the first BMW to be available with a manual transmission in India, will go on sale in May. The automaker will also unveil the updated Z4 convertible in the same month, while the updated X5 SUV will debut in August.
