Lamborghini Urus S Launched At A Price Of Rs 4.18 Crore
Lamborghini India has launched the Urus S, with prices starting at Rs 4.18 crore (ex-showroom, India). It is the second model in its Urus line-up apart from the Urus Performante, which is priced at Rs 4.22 crore (ex-showroom, India). The Urus S costs Rs 4 lakh less than the Urus Performante.
The Lamborghini Urus S , which sits below the driver-focused Urus Performante, is a more opulent and customizable version of the two variants. The Urus S, which replaced the outgoing Urus, made its debut on the international stage in September of last year.
The same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that powers the Urus Performante and generates 666 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque also powers the Urus S. The Urus S can sprint from 0-100kph in 3.5 seconds, compared to the Urus Performante’s claimed time of 3.3 seconds. Through an 8-speed automatic gearbox, power is distributed to all four wheels.
One of the biggest distinctions between the Urus S and Urus Performante is the suspension configuration. The Urus S maintains the previous air suspension, while the latter adopted a sportier, lowered, fixed coil spring for better handling. This will not only improve the Urus S’s ride quality but also allow it to change its ride height. This will enable the Urus S to receive three off-road settings in addition to the Strada, Sport, and Corsa (Street, Sport, and Track) modes: Sabbia, Neve, and Terra (Sand, Snow, and Mud). Due to the absence of air springs, the Urus Performante, however, only has one off-road mode, called “Rally”.
The Urus S receives the same exterior updates as the Urus Performante, including a new bumper, a redesigned bonnet with cooling ducts, and a bumper that has been significantly reprofiled. On the Urus Performante, a partially exposed carbon-fiber bonnet and a carbon-fiber roof are options.
The Urus S has a similar interior to the Urus Performante, but employs a different material. While the interior of the Urus Performante comes standard with a Black Alcantara interior, the interior of the Urus S comes standard with leather but may be altered to include an Alcantara interior as well. By providing a larger selection of materials for the Urus S, Lamborghini will also provide greater levels of customization.
The Urus S competes with vehicles like the BMW XM, Audi RSQ8, Aston Martin DBX 707, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and Maserati Levante Trofeo, just like the Urus Performante.
