Skoda Slavia Anniversary And Kushaq Lava Blue Edition Launched

The Slavia Anniversary Edition and Kushaq Lava Blue Edition have been released by Skoda. Minor cosmetic upgrades are made to both limited-edition models, but only the Slavia receives the 10-inch touchscreen that was phased out in June 2022.

Skoda Slavia Anniversary

The manual gearbox version of the Slavia Anniversary Edition costs Rs 17.28 lakh, while the automatic gearbox version costs Rs 18.68 lakh. The cost of the Kushaq Lava Blue Edition is Rs 17.99 lakh for the manual gearbox model and Rs 19.19 lakh for the automatic gearbox variant.

The midsize sedan’s premium trim is the Skoda Slavia Anniversary Edition, while the midsize SUV’s Kushaq Lava Blue Edition is between the Style and Monte Carlo trims.

The restoration of the 10-inch touchscreen and 380W speaker system is the key improvement to the Slavia Anniversary Edition. Due to a global shortage of semiconductors, this infotainment system was terminated in Kushaq and Slavia last year. Skoda re-introduced it in the Kushaq’s Anniversary Edition and Kushaq Monte Carlo last year, but the Slavia is the sole model to receive it today with its Anniversary Edition.

Meanwhile, puddle lamps with the Skoda emblem projected onto them are added to the Kushaq Lava Blue Edition. Both vehicles have front and rear mudflaps, a chrome grille finish, and chrome door and trunk handles. The Kushaq receives Edition badges on the B-pillar, while the Slavia receives ‘Anniversary Edition’ badging on the C-pillar. Both also receive the Lava Blue hue, which is also offered on the Kodaiq, Octavia, and Superb. This hue is now exclusively offered on Skoda’s India 2.0 vehicles.

The Slavia’s interior features pillows, the steering wheel, and a scuff plate with Anniversary Edition etched on them. The Kushaq receives the same, except the cushions and scuff plate have Edition written on them.

Both variants are powered by a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. Both come with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission option.

This engine is now E20 (20 percent ethanol blend) certified, according to Skoda. Additionally, it meets with RDE standards and, in the case of the Slavia and Kushaq, is up to 5% and 7% more fuel efficient than before.
