2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Launched A A Price Of Rs 77.5 Lakh
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been introduced by Jeep in India, with prices beginning at Rs 77.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Jeep is now locally building its new flagship SUV, as opposed to the previous generation’s Grand Cherokee, which was brought to India as a completely manufactured item. In actuality, India is the first market outside of North America where the Grand Cherokee is being produced.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee costs Rs. 77.41 lakh, which is just a little higher than the Jaguar F-Pace at present time. The Volvo XC90, Range Rover Velar, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7, and BMW X5 are further competitors. Only the Volvo and Audi of them have a 7-seat configuration; the rest have a 5-seat configuration.
The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee wears the traditional Jeep family appearance due to its design, which is similar to the larger Grand Wagoneer marketed abroad. And even if the style has tastefully evolved with contemporary touches, it is still easily recognised as a Grand Cherokee.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a prominent front bumper with big side and central air intakes, a conventional seven-slat grille, and two slim LED headlights on either side. A broad belt line that extends from the headlamps to the taillamps, squared wheel arches and a floating effect for the roof with a blacked-out section in the C-pillar are added to the two-box profile. The Grand Cherokee has prominent number plate housing on the tailgate, a hefty back bumper, and sleek LED taillamps up front.
The many screens are the centrepiece of the inside of the new-generation Grand Cherokee, as is the case with most contemporary interiors. The HVAC controls, which still include physical buttons and dials, are stacked below the centre 10.1-inch touchscreen in a seamless fashion. The front passenger also has access to a 10.1-inch screen that is integrated into the dashboard.
Additionally, the dashboard has a layered appearance and appears opulent and expensive thanks to its leather, wood, and gloss black elements. The level of elegance is further increased by the centre console’s clean design and the AC vents’ simple design.
The new Grand Cherokee, like its predecessor, is still available in the 5-seater form, but it is also marketed internationally in a three-row version dubbed as the Grand Cherokee.
A 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch head-up display, a wireless charging pad, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, rear seat entertainment screens, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a powered tailgate is among the features of the flagship SUV.
The 2017 Grand Cherokee only has a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine choice, as opposed to the previous generation’s Grand Cherokee’s availability of both petrol and diesel engine options. This engine has a maximum output of 400Nm of peak torque and 272hp of power. It is mated as standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which distributes power to all four wheels. Selectable terrain settings for the new Grand include Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand, and Snow.
