2022 KTM 250 Adventure (India-Bound) Revealed
In addition to the new 390 Adventure, KTM also unveiled the 250 Adventure. Both motorcycles provide an entrance point into KTM’s range for anyone interested in adventure motorcycling. They have grown in popularity in developing nations such as ours, where new riders have begun to explore diverse areas of motorcycle riding. The 2022 KTM 250 Adventure has got the same set of improvements as the 390 Adventure. Aside from gadgets, of course! Because the 250 Adventure is still lacking in Traction Control.
The 250 Adventure, like the 390 Adventure, has received a wardrobe change, as it now comes in two new colorways: Blue and White and Orange and White.
Apart from the new colors, it looks exactly like the model it replaces. It still has a halogen headlight in the front.
It also receives the same tough cast wheels. The components are built with five spokes rather than six, which allows for enhanced rim rigidity and resistance.
The engine on the 2022 KTM 250 Adventure is borrowed from the KTM Duke 250. This engine has a maximum power output of 29.6bhp at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 24Nm at 7,500 rpm. The bike features the same trellis frame, inverted non-adjustable front forks, and a rear mono-shock. To keep costs low, the Adventure 250 foregoes features like complete LED lighting, lean-angle sensitivity, traction control, off-road ABS, riding modes, ride-by-wire technology, and Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC).
It has a genuine TFT instrument display, as opposed to the LCD panel of the Duke 250, which was difficult to read in bright lighting. To keep the price down, the Adventure 250 only features switchable ABS, as opposed to the Adventure 390’s cornering ABS and quickshifter+.
Both of these new ADV bikes are expected to be released by KTM India next year. They will be priced differently, but we will be able to comment on that once the actual rates are out.
