Ducati Multistrada V2 Launched At A Price Of INR 14.65 Lakh

The Ducati Multistrada V2 has priced at Rs 14.65 lakh for the regular model and Rs 16.65 lakh for the ‘S’ model in India. This puts it almost Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the Multistrada 950 it replaces, which was only available in the ‘S’ form (Rs 15.49 lakh). The new Multi is Rs 2 lakh more expensive than the BMW F 850 GS (Rs 12.50 lakh) and Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the Triumph Tiger 900 GT in terms of competition (Rs 13.70 lakh). (All prices are in Indian rupees and are ex-showroom.)

Ducati Multistrada V2

The Ducati Multistrada V2 was released internationally in September of last year, and for the extra money, it delivers a few tweaks and improvements over the Multi 950. There’s a new clutch and gearbox, as well as a 5kg weight loss thanks to upgrades like lighter mirrors and wheels. The base version now weighs 221.8kg, while the ‘S’ model weighs 224.9kg, compared to 230kg for the Multi 950 S.

The new engine cover design is one obvious alteration, while the connecting rods inside the motor have been altered. However, the output remains the same: 113hp at 9,000rpm and 96Nm at 7,750rpm. The Multi’s ergonomics have been adjusted with a new seat that is slimmer and lower than previously, as well as repositioned footpegs.

Suspension, braking, and electronics haven’t changed, so expect an upside-down fork and mono-shock setup, both of which are fully adjustable (manually on the normal bike and electronically on the ‘S’ variant). The braking system remains the same, with 320mm discs hit by Brembo monoblocs up front and a single 265mm disc at the back.

Cornering ABS, traction control, variable ride modes, and a hill-hold feature are all part of the electronics package. A full-LED headlamp, 5.0-inch TFT panel, backlit switches, cruise control, and a bi-directional quickshifter round out the S’s features.
