Honda City Hybrid To Unveil On April 14!

The Honda City Hybrid will be unveiled on April 14 after a long wait. The free-revving 1.5L i-VTEC engine in the Honda City is liked by enthusiasts, and the new Hybrid powertrain is poised to make it even more thrilling. Unlike the Maruti Ciaz, which is a mild hybrid, the City Hybrid will be the cheapest strong hybrid’ available in India. The City Hybrid is likely to cost more than 16 lakh rupees, and it will compete with the Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI.

Honda City Hybrid

The Honda City hybrid will be equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol engine and a twin electric motor, producing 109 horsepower and 253 Nm of peak torque. This 1.5L engine produces a maximum of 98hp and 127Nm of torque on its own. The City is estimated to return 28-30 kilometers per gallon with the hybrid engine combo. These will be the best numbers in the section.

Honda City Hybrid

The Honda City hybrid will be equipped with Honda’s i-MMD hybrid technology, which is also used in the company’s other vehicles. The hybrid system is also expected to include three driving modes: one that uses just the electric motors, another that uses only the internal combustion engine (a lock-up clutch transmits power to the wheels directly), and a third that uses both.

Honda City Hybrid

The Honda City, now in its 5th generation, is the segment’s longest and broadest sedan. The 1.5L i-VTEC DOHC engine with VTC in the petrol version and the 1.5L i-DTEC diesel engine, both newly introduced, provide quick performance and good fuel economy. The 5th Generation City is a connected car with Alexa remote capabilities that comes standard across all grades with a next-generation Honda Connect with telematics control unit, a 5-year free subscription, and over 32 connected features.

The ASEAN N-CAP 5-star grade is equal to the newly developed platform. Full LED headlights, Z-shaped wrap-around LED tail lamp, 17.7 cm HD full-color TFT meter with G-meter, lane watch camera, vehicle stability assist (VSA) with Agile Handling Assist (AHA), and other amenities are included in the City.
