During the Munich auto show in 2021, Mercedes showed the design for an electric Maybach SUV. The design included a two-tone paint job and sumptuous interiors, characteristic of a Maybach vehicle. The outside and interior of the concept EV are branded with Maybach, and it has monoblock wheels. Like other Maybachs, the three-person second-row bench seat is swapped out for capacious individual seats with heated neck pillows and massage capabilities to keep passengers feeling rested on lengthy trips.

The enormous 56-inch Hyperscreen that runs the width of the dashboard from the driver’s side to the passenger side will be standard equipment because the Maybach EQS 580 will be based on the EQS SUV.

The EQS 580 4Matic, which has a four-wheel-drive system and a total power output of 550 horsepower, is now the top model in the EQS SUV lineup. The EQS has rear-wheel steering (up to 10 degrees), which increases stability while changing lanes on highways and allows the large 5-metre SUV to manoeuvre with a turning circle of roughly 11 metres.

A WLTP-certified range of up to 770km is also provided by the SUV. Mercedes’ Maybach version is known as the EQS 680 SUV, which suggests that it will have more power than the EQS 580’s 550 horsepower., although it is somewhat vague.
