Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 To Launch In India In January 2023
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 made its public debut at EICMA 2022 and is currently being displayed for the first time in India at the Royal Enfield Rider Mania festival in Goa. The most costly Royal Enfield to date, this cruiser motorcycle will be introduced in India in January 2023.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is the third model to be built on RE’s tried-and-true 650cc basis, but it features an entirely new chassis and many firsts for the Chennai-based company. The Showa USD fork, a full-LED headlight, and the Tripper Navigation pod are all standard on this Royal Enfield motorcycle. The 650cc REs’ 47hp and 52Nm are duplicated by the 648cc oil-and-air-cooled engine, however, torque is delivered 500 rpm later in the rev range. This beloved engine is housed in a completely redesigned frame that enables a more relaxed rake angle. Though the 135mm of ground clearance is concerning, the seat height is a manageable 740mm. It weighs 241kg when its 15.7-liter fuel tank is completely stocked, making it the heaviest current Royal Enfield motorcycle.
Two variations of the Super Meteor 650 will be available: Standard and Tourer. The Tourer has a big windscreen, a larger pillion perch, and fits in a backrest, while the Standard has a pared-down, streamlined appearance and a small pillion seat. Astral, Interstellar, and Celestial colour schemes will be available for the Super Meteor 650, with Celestial being exclusive to the Tourer model. The user can customize the bike to suit his or her demands thanks to the wide selection of accessories that are offered, as is the case with all of the bikes in Royal Enfield’s lineup.
Pre-registrations are now available for Rider Mania attendees, but general public reservations won’t start accepting them until the bike’s formal introduction in January 2023. Its price is anticipated to be fewer Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
