2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift Unveiled
The facelift of the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta (the Kijang Innova) was recently unveiled on the Indonesian market. The launch of this facelift of the current generation Innova Crysta, which was introduced back in 2016, marks the first major facelift.
In terms of styling, the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift is strongly updated but remains overall with the current model. The most noticeable thing is that the updated MPV now has a smaller grill with a thick chromium contour. Furthermore, instead of two chrome-finished ones from the current model, the grille now has five horizontal laths. Even the headlights receive chrome extensions that merge in the grille and new LED DRLs are also available.
Furthermore, the facelift has also a more aggressive front bumper with a blackout chin with a silver fake skid plate. The fog lamps are now vertically locked in a black triangular environment and were also redesigned.
The new 16-inch alloy wheels in the Innova Crysta facelift are standard silver-finished but are also available in selected trimmings in a diamond cutting finish. The back remains largely unchanged, although there is a black hexagonal section now between the threshold lights which reaches down to the number plate slot.
When compared with the current model, the overall design and layout of the interior of the Innova Crystal lift did not change. A new instrument cluster design, all black and six-seater design, with captain chairs in the middle row will be seen by the observer amongst us. There will also be a seven-seater version.
With Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support as well as the built-in air purifier, the fully-loaded version of the updated Innova CryStat now comes with a 9.0-inch touch screen infotainment system.
These features include the features already offered by the Innova Crysta, such as seven airbags, door locks for speed sensor, cruise control, stability control of vehicles, hill-start assistance, keyless access, and exit, ambient lighting, leather seat covers, camera reversing, and more.
With the same 139 hp, 2,0-liter oil, and 149hp, 2.4-liter diesel engine options as the pre-face lifting model, Innova Crysta’s facelift is supplied to Indonesia.
The 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta range with the BS6-conforming engine was recently updated by Toyota in India earlier this year. Therefore, we expect India to continue the existing 150 hp, 2.4 liters, 166hp, and 2,7-liter petrol engine options on the Innova Crysta facelift. The two motors may currently be equipped with either a manual with 5 speeds or an automatic gearbox with a six-speed torque converter. In our Toyota Innova Crysta review, you can see how they feel.
In 2021 Toyota will start the Innova Crysta facelift. However, the Fortuner facelift is expected in the coming months only after the introduction in our market.
It must be noted that today’s facelift model is an Indonesian car. The 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta in India could feature certain styling tweaks, which would suit local tastes more effectively.
