2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk To Be Launched Soon
The Jeep Meridian is one of the most anticipated launches from the American automaker this year. The 7-seat Compass derivative is expected to go on sale in mid-2022. However, before the Merdian is released, Jeep plans to release the Compass Trailhawk in the coming days. The Compass Trailhawk, as you may know, is a more off-road-oriented version of the standard Compass. The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will be sold in limited quantities, as the previous iteration did not sell well either.
The Jeep Compass will receive cosmetic and mechanical upgrades over the standard Compass 44. The front will get a new bumper, which will help it have a higher approach angle than the standard model. As with the previous model, a black decal will be applied to the hood. A new alloy wheel design and ‘trail rated’ badges will be among the other exterior changes.
The interior will remain largely unchanged, with the addition of red accents and bits around the cabin serving as the only changes. The Compass Trailhawk will also receive additional off-road hardware, such as rock mode and a reworked gearbox for improved crawling abilities. Aside from that, the equipment levels should be comparable. The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk will be powered by a familiar 2.0-liter diesel engine with 170 horsepower and 350 Newton-meters of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission will handle transmission duties.
The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk includes a new bumper, new LED headlamps and DRLs up front, and the iconic seven-slat front with chrome studs. The taillights and alloy wheels are also brand new. Aside from an updated lighting configuration for the tail lamps, the rest of the SUV appears to be relatively unchanged. If we look at it that way, this isn’t a major redesign in terms of the exterior design, but it does look different on the inside.
Depending on the trim and variant, the new cabin is available in dual-tone and full-black leather and fabric upholstery combinations. It includes wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto, as well as up to five custom profiles and OTA updates. Other features include wireless charging, a 360-degree remote camera, cruise control, a powered liftgate, and heated front seats with ventilation and memory settings.
