2023 Hyundai Alcazar Gets RDE-compliant engines With 6 airbags As standard
The 2023 Hyundai Alcazar’s basic safety features give it a little facelift. Hyundai has slightly upgraded the engines of the Alcazar to conform with the forthcoming emissions standards, similar to the improvements made to the Venue and Creta.
Six airbags are now standard across all trim levels thanks to an upgrade from Hyundai. Previously, just the driver and passenger airbags were included as standard equipment across the board, while side and curtain airbags could be added starting with the platinum grade.
Additionally, Hyundai has improved the Alcazar’s fuel economy by integrating a starter generator (ISG) that will provide start-stop capabilities. The South Korean firm also noted that the Alcazar’s engines would all be able to run on a 20 percent petrol-ethanol combination and now all meet the new Bharat Stage 6 2.0 emissions regulations (E20).
A 2.0-liter petrol engine with 159 horsepower and 191 Nm of torque and a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque are both available for the Alcazar. Both may be connected to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
