BMW XM Revealed
BMW has unveiled the prototype XM, their most powerful M vehicle to date. The concept XM foreshadows a production version that will be released in late 2022. The idea XM is a stand-alone M model, as opposed to the M4 and M5, which are based on the 4-series and 5-series, respectively.

It has all-black cladding and a two-tone roof. The quad-exhaust tips on the rear bumper are triangular. The slender LED taillamps go from the trunk edge to the rear fender. The rear glass has a distinctive wedge-shaped design with two BMW emblems engraved on either side.
When opposed to the outside, the inside is far less radical. It receives recognizable switchgear from previous BMWs, such as the gear knob and door handles. The driver-centric cockpit is upholstered in brown leather with copper and carbon fiber accents. The dashboard is dominated by a pair of massive screens that display the most recent version of BMW’s iDrive system.
The bench seat in the back is aquamarine-colored and diamond-stitched velvet. The headliner receives a one-of-a-kind three-dimensional prism structure that is completely lighted. This is comparable to the ‘night sky’ function seen in other BMW models including the X7.
The BMW XM has a plug-in hybrid engine, which is the most exciting component. Though BMW hasn’t released any details, we assume it will use the V8 engine from the M5. It has a massive 750hp and 1000nm of torque. The newly designed M Hybrid drive system allows the XM to go up to 48 kilometers on electric power alone.
