Kia Seltos Diesel iMT Priced At INR 13.99 Lakh
Kia is anticipated to sell a diesel iMT version of the Seltos in India, with a starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) with just one variation available at launch. In India, the Seltos diesel iMT is the sole vehicle available with a diesel-iMT combination.
Kia, like Hyundai, has offered the iMT gearbox in petrol-powered cars, but this is the first time the company has combined it with a diesel engine. Kia has also modified the Seltos’ suspension and added two new color options: Sparkling Silver and Imperial Blue.
On the Seltos, Kia has added a new 6-speed iMT clutchless manual transmission that works with the 115hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. The diesel engine now comes with three transmission options: a 6-speed manual, a torque converter, and the Kia Seltos Diesel iMT. Only the mid-level HTK Plus model comes with the iMT gearbox. The iMT was also just launched on the Hyundai Creta petrol.
Kia is expected to add certain amenities to the Seltos in addition to the new gearbox, according to dealers. Safety features such as rear disc brakes, electronic stability control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), and side airbags may be standard across all models. Curtain airbags will be available starting with the HTX Plus trim, while Traction/Drive modes and paddle shifters will be added to the HTX grades as well. In addition to this improvement, all Seltos will come standard with twin front and front side airbags, as well as rear disc brakes.
Several new features would be added to the Seltos, including the Seltos and Kia Connect logos, an interior rearview mirror with a Kia Connect button, and redesigned 16-inch wheel covers on the HTE and HTK models. In addition, the new Seltos will be available in two more colorways: Sparkling Silver and Imperial Blue.
The Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and Nissan Kicks are all midsize SUVs that compete with the Kia Seltos.
