Lamborghini Urus S To Launch In India On April 13

On April 13, Lamborghini will introduce the Urus S in India. The sole vehicle the manufacturer currently sells in India is the Urus Performante, which costs Rs 4.22 crore. (ex-showroom). Price-wise, the Performante is probably more expensive than the comfort-focused Urus S.

In September 2022, Lamborghini introduced the Urus S on a global scale, replacing the previous Urus with the Urus Performante and Urus S.

The Performante and the Lamborghini Urus S are comparable and slightly dissimilar. Nothing substantially unusual can be found in the design or shape of either of these versions. In contrast to the dual-tone bonnet offered on the Urus Performante, the Urus S has a single-tone bonnet with cooling vents. The front and rear bumpers of the Urus S have both undergone design revisions by Lamborghini.

The interior of the Urus S receives the same treatment; there are no substantial architectural modifications, but there is a change in the material utilized. However, Lamborghini provides consumers with the Ad Personam program, which enables them to customize their vehicles, on a global scale. Even the smallest things are taken into consideration, such as choosing the internal seam stitching’s kind and color. For the Urus S, we anticipate Lamborghini bringing this program to the Indian market as well.

The Lamborghini Urus S and Performante both use the same 666 horsepower, 4.0-liter, V8 twin-turbo petrol engine, albeit the Porsche Cayenne Turbo’s engine is tuned differently. The Urus S’s 0-100kph time has been shortened from 3.6 to 3.5 seconds thanks to an 8-speed torque converter gearbox that drives all four wheels.
The suspension is the primary distinction between the Urus Performante and the S. Lamborghini chose to equip the high-performance Performante with lowered, fixed coil springs. The Urus S, on the other hand, uses adaptive air suspension like the original Urus since it is more comfort-oriented.

Multiple traction-control modes that weren’t available on the Performante are back, along with the original suspension that was used in it. The Urus S receives the Sabbia, Neve, and Terra (Sand, Snow, and Mud) traction control modes in addition to the Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes. (Street, Sport, and Track). In contrast, the Urus Performante only has one rally mode.

Lamborghini shipped the 200th Urus to India in July of last year. Lamborghini sold 92 automobiles in India in the calendar year 2022, growing at a rate of 33% annually.
The Urus Performante and seven different Huracan models are presently available from Lamborghini in India. The new Lamborghini supercar, which will replace the Aventador and presumably arrive in this country later this year, is scheduled to make its global debut on March 29. It will have 1,000 horsepower.
