Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Gets Updated With Standard Safety Features

The Ertiga MPV from Maruti Suzuki has been updated with more common safety features. This update will raise the popular MPV’s safety rating. With the update, Hill-hold assists and the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) will be common across all Ertiga versions. These safety measures were previously exclusive to the automatic varieties, but thanks to this change, they are now available on manual models as well.

While the standard equipment only comes with dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and the aforementioned ESP and hill hold help, Maruti offers four airbags and braking assist in higher-spec variations. Ertiga’s occupant safety for adults and children was rated three stars by the Global NCAP. The MPV’s body shell and footwell were deemed “unstable” by the test. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, however, provides a more commonplace safety gear.

Ertiga also has dual-tone fabric seats and a new metallic teak-wooden finish. A 7-inch Smartplay Pro infotainment system is included in the inside, and Suzuki Connect, which has more than 40 features, also comes with a voice assistant that can be used by saying “Hi Suzuki.” Through the Suzuki Connect skill for Amazon Alexa, it also receives voice connectivity and a smartwatch that is compatible. Through these devices, customers can remotely access and control the AC function, door lock, headlights OFF, danger lights, alarm, and many other features. Additionally, it has air-cooled cupholders, air-cooled ORVMs, cruise control, auto headlights, automated climate control, a color MID, and AC vents for all three rows.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

A new 1.5 L Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine from the K-series with idle start/stop technology powers the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. It generates 136 nm of torque and 101 horsepower. It comes standardly paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed torque converter gearbox with paddle shifters is also an option for customers.

It has a fuel economy of 20.51 km/l in manual mode and 20.30 km/l when connected to an automatic transmission. CNG is available in the VXI and ZXI models of the new Ertiga. The equivalent in CNG produces 26.11 km/kg. The pricing of the new Ertiga generation, which debuted in April, was set at Rs. 8.35 lakh (ex. showroom). But with a recent price increase, the automobile now costs Rs. 8.41 lakh (ex-showroom).
