Red Bull F1 Car ShowrunTo Held In Mumbai On March 12, 2023
On March 12, 2023, David Coulthard, a 13-time F1 race winner, will pilot one of Red Bull Racing’s championship-winning cars in Mumbai as part of the team’s F1 showrun.
Throughout its three-year tenure at the Buddh International Circuit, Red Bull Racing is still the only team ever to win the Indian Grand Prix. They will not be bringing their showrun to the nation or Mumbai for the first time. In 2015, Coulthard drove them in their final outing in India at the Hyderabad showrun.
Red Bull previously held the showrun on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai in 2009 and on the streets of Delhi in 2011.
Even if the actual route for the 2023 Mumbai showrun hasn’t been revealed yet, we can say with certainty that Coulthard will be behind the wheel of Sebastian Vettel’s RB7, the car that won the 2011 championship. Red Bull had one of its most successful seasons in 2011, winning 12 of the 19 races.
The Mumbai showrun follows Red Bull’s record-breaking 2022 Formula One season. With the most points earned by any driver in F1 history, Max Verstappen successfully defended his second championship. The team also won the fifth and most recent constructors’ championship since 2013.
The season of 2023 will now take center stage, with pre-season testing occurring between February 23 and 25.
