Toyota Glanza CNG Launched At A Price Of INR 8.43 Lakh

With prices starting at Rs 8.43 lakh for the S trim and rising to Rs 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the G trim, Toyota has introduced the CNG version of the Glanza in India. The Toyota Glanza CNG is Rs 95,000 more expensive than the identical petrol-powered model. The Glanza is just the second high-end hatchback in its class and the first Toyota car to come with a factory-installed CNG kit.

The Toyota Glanza CNG will only be available in S and G trims, unlike the petrol-powered Glanza, which is available in E, S, G, and V trims. Here is a table that compares the cost of the regular Glanza and its CNG variant.

Toyota Glanza CNG

The same 1.2-liter, four-cylinder engine that powers the normal car and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno continues to power the Glanza CNG. The single 5-speed manual transmission option for the Glanza CNG is similar to that of the majority of CNG cars now on the market. The engine produces 90 horsepower and 113 Nm while running on petrol alone, but reduces to 77 hp and 98.5 Nm when running on CNG. The premium hatchback, according to Toyota, boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 30.61 km/kg.

With the exception of the CNG badging on the tailgate, the Toyota Glanza CNG’s exterior is identical to that of the petrol-powered model. Toyota included a 55-liter CNG tank in the trunk, which reduces storage space compared to the petrol-powered model. The dual-tone interior of the Glanza CNG is unchanged, including the same switchgear and steering wheel as the Baleno.

In addition to a 7.0-inch touchscreen, voice assistant, linked car technology with OTA updates, start/stop button, and six airbags, the Glanza CNG’s G level is equipped with LED projector headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, and other features.

The freshly released Baleno CNG is directly in competition with the Glanza CNG. Additionally, it faces competition from other high-end hatchbacks without a CNG option, such as the Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Hyundai i20.
