2020 Mahindra Thar will be launched on August
Mahindra & Mahindra is ready to launch and reveal the price of its new next-gen 2020 Mahindra Thar. An image with wrapped with white plastic-like material is circulating online before dispatched to the dealer’s warehouse.
While the final design is to be seen upon the launch, we have published before that this 2020 Mahindra Thar has been seen testing (See – 2020 Mahindra Thar To Be Launched Soon) on roads for more than a year with different types of cladding. It is now featured with a new chassis and body panels all around.
The SUV will come with a BS6-compliant 2.2-liter diesel engine that can produce 140hp and is mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox. But the automatic gearbox feature will be available later on. Also, there is an option for petrol with its newly introduced mStallion based 2.0-liter petrol unit fitted with direct injection and turbocharging.
In the exterior, The 2020 Thar will be equipped with black-painted 18-inch alloy wheels and LED DRLs, all-new dashboard, Touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a manual AC, power-folding wing mirrors and multiple USB ports and a multi-info display in the instrument cluster.
In safety, the 2020 Mahindra Thar will get two airbags, ABS, and a rear parking camera and a front-facing second row of seats.
Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to launch the Thar to win over rivals like Force Gurkha and the upcoming Suzuki Jimny.
