2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI Unveiled
The 2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI is unveiled with the bigger Golf inspired by technology and aesthetics. But its 204hp turbocharged petrol engine is maintained. The 2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI is inspired by the 8th generation of Golf that extends towards a new front end with the new trademark of the brand light bar and a reworked back.
Like with the previous GTI, Volkswagen’s 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol, combined with a dual-clutch transmission with a 7-speed engine, will power the Polo front-wheel drive. The long-rumored manual gearbox of Ford Fiesta ST competitor does not yet include any word. His figure of 0-100kph should be at 6.5sec.
With ‘IQ Light’ LED headlights as a standard accompanying the full-scale front light bar, the new Polo GTI is being upgraded with an external design. The company claims the light bar “creates a relationship in design to Volkswagen battery-electric ID vehicles and the next generation of successful models such as the Golf, Arteon, and Tiguan.”
A new design of a bumper freshens the end, while a new design of the Golf 17-inch alloy wheels is offered. Dynamic turn signals are also received for the first time by Polo GTI.
Discover Pro and Discover Media systems of the company are optional, and Volkswagen is also provided with a new “digital,” the Golf and ID 3 dashboard. Free wireless charging, a Beats Sound System, an 18-inch alloy wheel. Other options include an outstanding sunroof.
It comes with three modes of driving – Eco, Normal, and Sport – the last featuring an improved exhaust. The Polo GTI has a specifically tailored, efficient chassis tuning to lower the body by 15mm compared to the normal polo and put a big stabilizer on the front axle of the car, strong front coupling rods, and firmer rear axle mounting.
The 2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI also has for the first time an Adaptive Crossing System, lane support, lateral assistance, and a rear traffic warning. Autonomous emergency braking, as well as a driver alarm and post-collision automatic braking, is also standard.
The 2021 Volkswagen Polo GTI is based on the 6th-gene polo yet to be sold in India. Volkswagen sold the previous Polo GTI in India in limited quantities as a fully imported vehicle. No news is coming to our shores from the new Polo GTI in the near future.
Two new SUV releases for India have now been set up for Volkswagen first with the Taigun and then with the revised Tiguan 5-seat launch.
