2022 BMW X3 Pre-bookings Opened  Ahead Of Launch

The BMW X3 facelift will be available in India in the coming weeks, with the German automaker now accepting pre-orders. The majority of the updates seen on the X3 facelift introduced in Europe in 2021 will be carried over to the India-spec model.

Customers can reserve the new X3 both online and at their local BMW dealership. To sweeten the deal, BMW India is also providing a free upgrade to the 20-inch ‘M’ alloy wheels (worth Rs 2 lakh) to all customers who pre-order the luxury SUV.

The X3 facelift will include a larger kidney grille, new LED headlights, a new front apron, and an aluminium finish on the window surrounds and roof rails. The taillights have also been updated and are now slimmer and more sculpted, there is a reprofiled rear bumper, and the exhausts are more pronounced.

Inside, the X3’s cabin will be updated with a new centre console to match the new 4 Series. This means it will feature a new 12.3-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, as well as an updated digital instrument cluster and switchgear in the centre console.

2022 BMW X3

The 2022 BMW X3 is expected to retain the current model’s petrol and diesel engine options under the hood. This means that the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol and turbo-diesel engines mated to BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system will remain in use.

Unfortunately, neither the plug-in hybrid X3 facelift (30e) nor the all-electric iX3 available elsewhere is likely to be introduced in our market anytime soon. There is also no word on whether the more powerful 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will be available in India.

2022 BMW X3

As previously stated, the 2022 BMW X3 facelift will compete with the recently launched Audi Q5 facelift, as well as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Volvo XC60 when it is released in our market. The BMW X3 facelift is expected to be priced between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).
