2022 Honda CB300R Launched At INR 2.77 Lakh
Honda India has priced the 2022 CB300R, which debuted at India Bike Week (IBW), at Rs 2.77 lakh ex-showroom. The 2022 model is locally assembled in India, whereas the BS4 bike was imported via CKD and launched in India in 2019 for Rs 2.41 lakh.
The 2022 Honda CB300R is powered by a 286cc, 4-valve DOHC engine producing 31.1hp at 9,000rpm and 27.5Nm at 7,500rpm. At 8,000rpm, the BS4 engine produced 30.45hp. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission, and the 2022 model gets a slip and assist clutch for the first time.
The 2022 model has nearly the same bodywork as the outgoing model, but Honda has made a few changes to give it a new look. New colours – Matte Steel Black and Pearl Spartan Red – have been added, as well as a gold finish on the fork and a blacked-out headlight bezel and radiator shrouds. Honda has also changed the design of the exhaust end can to give it a more sporty appearance.
In terms of features, the bike receives all LED lighting as well as a new LCD display with a gear position indicator and shift light.
The chassis has not been altered, and the bike retains the same frame, USD fork, and 7-step preload-adjustable mono-shock. The braking systems are also the same. However, the new bike has a slightly longer wheelbase than the previous model, measuring 1,352mm versus 1,344mm. Kerb weight has also been reduced by one kilogramme to 146 kilogrammes.
Bookings for the 2022 Honda CB300R are now open, and the bike will be available at all Big Wing dealerships throughout the country. The company currently has 88 touchpoints and plans to increase that number to 100 by the end of the fiscal year.
