2022 Honda Monkey Revealed
The wrecks of the 2022 Monkey are removed by Honda. It has a Euro-5 engine, new exhaust, and better suspension.
Honda plunged into an air-cooled 125cc Euro-compliant motor that is also available in the 125 Honda Grom. At 6.750rpm and 11Nm at 5.500rpm, it generates 9.2hp. Honda built a new intake and redesigned the airbox, yet these numbers were the same as before. A new unit was replaced with a single chamber and a more pleasant sound of the exhaust is supposed to give. A new 5-speed gearbox, instead of a 4-speed unit on the former Honda Monkey, is added to this little engine.
The Monkey has a USD fork in the front on a steel backbone frame and a new double shock absorber on the back; they have two-story fountains and updated damper rubbers to improve driving quality on rough routes. Braking is performed by an IMU-controlled ABS standard, with a 220mm disk on the front and a 190mm disc at the back. The Monkey is riding on 12-inch wheels, shooting with chunky pattern pneumatically.
The 2022 Honda Monkey has also reduced weight and has dropped the weight to 104 kg, compared with the previous model to 107 kg. This leads to an 88.46hp/ton power to weight ratio.
The vintage look of the Honda Monkey is really distinctive and gives it a feeling of character. Though contemporary features like all-LED lighting and a smart device cluster are available, the color schemes contribute to a vintage flare.
The Honda Monkey is available in three colors – Pearl Glittering Blue, Banana Yellow, and Pearl Nebula Red – in international markets from £3,799 (approximately Rs 4 lakh).
