2022 Skoda Kodiaq To Launch In January
In 2016, the Skoda Kodiaq made its debut. It was introduced in the Indian market in 2017 and was powered by a 2.0L diesel engine capable of 148BHP and 340Nm of torque. Skoda Kodiaq was terminated in April 2020 due to the adoption of BS6 standards. Now, the Kodiaq is about to make a comeback in a new guise! The Kodiaq will return to India in January 2022, according to Zac Hollis, Director of Sales, Service, and Marketing at Skoda Auto India.
The 2017 Skoda Kodiaq has a fresh new look. The hexagonal butterfly grille is replaced with chrome accents. New compact LED headlamps with DRLs at the bottom of the headlamps. The redesigned grille and headlights give the automobile a more aggressive appearance than the previous model’s lazier appearance. This model’s foglamps are located higher up, right below the headlights. This automobile also comes in a vRS model, which features 20″ diamond cut Sagittarius alloy wheels for a sportier flair.
Over to the side, the appearance is unchanged, with the same aggressive lines and chrome finish surrounding the windows. The roof rails, rear spoiler, and ORVMs are also coated in gloss black, giving the car a dual-tone color scheme. The taillights in the back are quite sharp and slender. At the back, we can also observe chrome treatment around the black skid plate.
Inside, we have multiway electrically adjustable seats with memory, massaging, ventilated and heated functions, and adjustable lumbar support. It has the redesigned Skoda steering wheel, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 8-inch infotainment system. It is also probable that the car will be outfitted with the new 9.2-inch touchscreen. The 2022 Skoda Kodiaq also receives a panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting to improve the overall cabin aesthetic.
In terms of performance, the previous 2.0L diesel engine has been replaced with the all-new 2.0L turbo petrol engine, which produces 190HP and 320Nm of torque. This engine is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG transmission, and we expect it will be available with 4X4 like the previous model Kodiaq.
