2023 Hyundai Verna To Launch In India Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) intends to reveal the price of the much-awaited new Verna. The tiny car, which will fight in the sector with the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, is already available for bookings from the Korean automaker. For a small cost of Rs 25,000, both online and at authorised dealerships, reservations are now accepted. The 2023 Hyundai Verna will be more powerful, and bigger, and come with a number of segment-first innovations than the outgoing model. Moreover, it will be the second car in its class to include ADAS. For the uninitiated, every sedan type will come with the ADAS Level 2 capabilities and 30 standard features.

In a recent statement on the new features included with the 2023 Verna, Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “The all-new Hyundai Verna perfectly represents this goal and will boast of a comprehensive safety feature package of 30 standard safety features. The all-new Hyundai Verna will also come with Hyundai SmartSense – Level 2 ADAS, setting a new standard in this market as we move closer to offering futuristic mobility experiences.

A 1.5-litre petrol engine with the option of either turbocharging or naturally aspirating will be offered in the brand-new Hyundai Verna. The turbocharged versions of the car will still be offered with a seven-speed DCT transmission option in addition to the six-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. The conventional 1.5-litre engine is expected to generate 113 bhp of maximum power and 144 nm of peak torque, whilst the turbocharged 1.5-litre engine will be more powerful with an output of 158 bhp and 253 nm.

The current “Sensuous Sportiness” design language from Hyundai was used to create the sixth-generation Verna. A new blacked-out grille with integrated LED headlights and a sharp-looking bumper with LED strips running symmetrically across the front of the car is added to the sporty front end of the 2023 Hyundai Verna. The taillamps also have LED lights. The front and side both have a sporty appearance. The sedan’s crisp character lines give it a premium appearance. The alloy wheels with diamond cuts have a sporty appeal as well. The 2018 Hyundai Verna sticks out among mid-size sedans thanks to its rising beltline and coupe-like rear end.

The new Verna will be the biggest sedan in its class with a 1,765mm width. Both rows of passengers will have plenty of legroom thanks to the 2,670mm wheelbase, the longest in the market. The new Verna has dimensions of 4,535mm in length and 1,475mm in height. 15-inch alloy wheels might be standard equipment on the Hyundai Verna.

According to Hyundai, the incoming 2018 Verna will include the Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS) as standard equipment (ADAS). The Verna 2023 will include roughly 17 level 2 ADAS capabilities utilising Hyundai SmartSense, according to the carmaker. The new ADAS features will be equivalent to those already available in Hyundai’s most recent Tucson SUV model. Rear cross-traffic alert, high beam assistance, lane maintenance assistance, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, and driver attentiveness warning are a few of these. The Verna will be the second sedan in India to incorporate ADAS technology, following the recently released Honda City facelift.

The The 2023 Hyundai Verna will be more powerful, and bigger, and come with a number of segment-first innovations than the outgoing model. will offer a variety of first-to-market innovations in addition to about 65 safety measures. They include, among others, electronic parking brakes, tyre pressure monitoring systems, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, and hill-start assist control (EPB).

New furniture and technology will be added to the interior of the new Hyundai Verna. In the centre of the dashboard will be a new 10.25-inch HD infotainment screen and a digital cluster with a TFT MID. Also, the Verna 2023 will be equipped with the industry’s first temperature control system. The business claims that this will enhance the interaction between the two capabilities. Also, another first for the industry, the redesigned Verna now has heated and ventilated front seats. The eight-speaker Bose audio system in the Hyundai Verna is another notable interior feature.

The current Hyundai Verna generation is available in both petrol and diesel engines and ranges in price from Rs 15.71 lakh to Rs 29.63 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai will no longer offer a diesel engine with the new Verna, though. Prices are projected to be drastically updated when compared to its predecessor. The Hyundai Verna is anticipated to start at around Rs 11 lakh, with a top-spec variant with ADAS features costing Rs 18 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

When the upgraded Verna debuts in the Indian market tomorrow, it will likely encounter stiff competition because of the number of features and sizes that it is anticipated to provide. The new 2023 Honda City, the Volkswagen Virtus, the Skoda Slavia, and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will all compete against the Hyundai Verna, as was previously announced.
