The BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX has been launched in India. This SX variant replaces the base variant which was previously offered.
The motorcycle is powered by a BS6 compliant 1043 cc, Liquid-Cooled, DOHC engine which is capable of producing 142 PS of power and 111 NM of torque. All of this coupled to a 6-Speed gearbox and a Slipper Clutch. The exhaust has also been updated and now it comes in a single-sided form in a 4-into-2-into pre chamber into-1 arrangement compared to the previous twin-muffler setup.
The BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX comes with features such as a 4.3 inch TFT colour display with smartphone connectivity, Twin-LED headlamps. new 4-Step Adjustable Windscreen.
The motorcycle also features a vast electronic suite consisting of 3 preset riding modes (Sport, Rain and Road) and one manual riding mode (Rider), KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function), KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System), KQS (Kawasaki Quick shifter) and Cruise Control.
The BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is being offered in two colours: Metallic Graphite Gray/Metallic Diablo Black and Emerald Blazed Green/Metallic Carbon Gray/Metallic Graphite Gray.
Bookings for the BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX have been started and the motorcycle has been priced at Rs 10,79,000 (ex-showroom). That is a hike of around Rs 50,000 over the old base model.
