Hyundai Santa Cruz pick-up Teased Ahead Of Its Launch On April 15

Ahead of its global unveiling on 15 April 2021, production specimen Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup truck was tackled. The new model starts with the Hyundai Santa Cruz concept shown at the Detroit motor show in 2015.

The Hyundai Santa Cruz pick-up in the teaser pictures is very different from the model car in terms of style. In reality, the model in the photos is more like the fourth Tucson SUV generation. The grille, headlamp pattern, and prominent character lines on either side are almost similar to the current Tucson.

It’s obvious from the side profile in the teaser that Hyundai offers the Santa Cruz in a crew cab (five-door) configuration, as opposed to the original two-door cab concepts, with little suicide doors which give access to the rear portion. On the back, we can see that due to the cab configuration the pickup bed is not quite large, but it seems sufficient. The LED taillight style, however, differs considerably from that of Tucson in terms of both LED signatures and the fact that the two sides cannot be linked by a light strip.

The carmaker says that it does offer strong and effective drive options, but Hyundai has not released technical information about the Santa Cruz pickup trunk. It will be based on a single axle and will get an all-wheel-drive configuration, what we can expect of the Santa Cruz. However, we must wait for further information to be disclosed by the official.

The Korean car manufacturer did not reveal that the Hyundai Santa Cruz pick-up will be launched in India. In addition, provided that this model is more geared at the North American market where Honda Ridgeline and the forthcoming Ford Maverick will compete, it will definitely not come to India.
However, Hyundai has several other variants in 2021, including the seven-seater Alcazar SUV based on the Crete and the more sports i20 N line, that it is preparing to launch in India.
