Ather Energy Crosses 25,000th Milestone!
Ather Energy, a manufacturer of electric scooters, has reached a new production milestone. On March 4, 2022, the manufacturer delivered the 25,000th 450x scooter. This achievement took more than two years to complete. Though it may appear to be a slow process, given how popular EVs have become, we expect the numbers to grow faster over time. In January, the company raised the prices of its 450 and 450x scooters by $5,000. In February, the EV manufacturer sold 2229 units of its 450 and 450x scooters.
The Ather 450X is the fastest and smartest scooter in its class, and it comes in four colours: Grey, Green, White, and a limited-edition Series 1. The scooter has a 6kW PMSM motor and a 2.9kWh lithium-ion battery, as well as four riding modes. Aside from Eco, Ride, and Sport, Ather Energy added a high-performance model called ‘Warp.’ In Warp mode, the Ather 450X can accelerate from 0 to 40 kilometres per hour in 3.3 seconds, making it the fastest scooter in the 125cc category.
The Ather 450X has the fastest charging rate in the electric two-wheeler category, at 1.5 kilometres per minute. The electric scooter also comes equipped with a 4G SIM card and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to control phone calls and music from the touchscreen dashboard. The 7-inch touchscreen dashboard has a 16-million colour depth and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-Core processor.
Google Map navigation, on-board diagnostics, and other unique features like Over-the-Air updates, Auto Indicator off, and Guide-me-home lights are all available on the Ather 450X thanks to Android Open Source.
