BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Petrol Variant Launched
BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Petrol Variant is launched by BMW India. Initially, when BMW launched the 2-series Gran Gran Coupe, it was only offered in the diesel model. Now, the petrol version named 220i M Sport is launched and will be offered here for INR 40.9 lakhs of ( ex-showroom). Interestingly, the petrol variant is only available in 220i M. The remaining models are diesel.
If you know the nomenclature of the BMW, M means more business and more Oomph. At the manufacturing plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the BMW 220i M Sport package will be manufactured locally. Speaking about the 2-series, it will be offered in 4 color variants -Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Melbourne Red, and Storm Bay. It has an additional color option of Misano Blue and Snapper Rocks.
The exterior has the same 2-series package and also the signature BMW kidney grille at the front. The much bigger griller can either be a hit or a miss. The sides have17″ Alloy wheels, and over the regular 2-series, the rear is supplied with chrome tip M exhausts.
The interior still remains the same. There are two displays, one 12.3 inch instrument cluster and the other is a 10.25-inch infotainment system. The 2-series provides wireless charging, rear AC vents, electronic memory sports seats, a panoramic glass roof, 40:20:40 divided rear seats, and a wide variety of safe bits such as six airbags, Braking Assists ABS, traction control, cornering brake control, dynamic stability control, and an automatic electric stationary parking brake. On the seats, buttons, and gear levers it earns an M badge.
Mechanically speaking, the 4 cyl TwinPower Turbo oil burner provides a peak power of 190BHP and a high torque of 280Nm. It is attached to an 8-speed automated transmission gearbox and also receives a paddle shifter.
