As part of the ongoing 50th-anniversary festivities of its M division, BMW has introduced the X6 50 Jahre M Edition in India for Rs. 1.11 crore (ex-showroom, India). The M340i, 630i M Sport, 530i M Sport, M4 Competition, X7 40i M Sport, X4 M Sport, M8 Competition, and M5 Competition are the eight limited-edition vehicles that the brand has so far released. The final 50 Jahre M Edition vehicle from BMW will shortly be released in India.

The 50 Jahre M Edition is exclusively offered in the Black Sapphire Metallic and M Carbon Black Metallic colours, unlike the ordinary X6 SUV, which is offered in a variety of colour options. BMW has added an M Sport exhaust system, 20-inch alloy wheels painted in the colour orbit grey with gloss red M Sport brake callipers, and a gloss black illuminated kidney grille to the X6 50 Jahre M Edition.

The BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition, like earlier special editions, features extra M insignia (at the front, back, and on the hub caps) that are modelled after vintage BMW Motorsport race vehicles. The BMW emblem also features distinctive design elements, including semicircles in the shades of blue, violet, and red.
Two further appearance packages are available as options for the limited edition BMW. The first one, called the Racer’s package, comes with a rear spoiler and black side decals, while the Motorsports package adds carbon fibre wing mirrors and an Alcantara-covered key fob.

The BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition’s interior design is substantially the same as that of the ordinary vehicle. It has a leather-wrapped steering wheel and powered sports seats with red stitching. Additionally, BMW added heated and cooled cup holders, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and an automatic tailgate to the limited-edition X6. The 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and infotainment system, the Harman Kardon audio system, and wireless Apple CarPlay are some of its other feature highlights.

The BMW X6 50 Jahre M Edition shares the xDrive40i’s drivetrain and is technically identical to the standard vehicle. With an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, the 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. As a result, the limited-edition X6 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds.
