Ducati Streetfighter V2 Launched At A Price Of INR 17.25 Lakh
In India, Ducati has introduced the Streetfighter V2 for Rs. 17.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It shares an engine with the Panigale V2 sportbike and is Ducati’s newest Streetfighter model, after the range-topping Streetfighter V4 SP.
The Superquadro engine featured in the Panigale V2 sportbike powers this speedy naked bike. This 955cc engine produces 101.4Nm at 9,000 rpm and 153 horsepower at 10,750 rpm (2hp and 2.6Nm lesser than the fully faired Panigale V2). The front monocoque chassis and the single-sided swingarm are directly attached to the engine, which functions as a stressed part of the frame.
Suspending the 178kg (dry) Streetfighter V2 is a 43mm Showa Big Piston USD fork at the front and a Sachs monoshock at the rear, both fully adjustable units. The braking equipment for sale here is made by Brembo, a trusted name in Italy. The 4.32 monoblock calipers are decent equipment despite not being top-notch Stylema components. You can operate a variety of rider aids from the included 4.3-inch TFT display, including wheelie control, engine brake control, cornering ABS, and traction control, as well as choose between the three available riding modes, Sport, Road, and Wet.
The Ducati Streetfighter V2 has no real competitors in this pricing bracket. However, in terms of production numbers, the freshly released Suzuki Katana is extremely close.
