Hero Karizma XMR Unveiled Before Its Launch
Spy images of the impending Hero Karizma XMR have been circulating for quite some time, but the production-spec bike has already been shown to dealers, implying that a launch isn’t far away.
The new Karizma XMR features an entirely different design language than any other Hero product on the market right now. Its fully-faired design and split seat set-up indicate that this will be a more ergonomically committed motorcycle than previous Karizma models or any other Hero model currently on the market.
The alloy wheels are also significantly different and are most likely brand new. Given that the Karizma XMR is a sporty bike, we anticipate that the alloy rims will be shod with bigger tyres than any previous Hero product, and given the sporty ethos of this machine, they may be radial units. Despite its obvious sportiness, the Karizma XMR includes a middle stand, hinting that it will not forego functionality entirely.
If the recurrent suspicions surrounding this bike are to be believed, what little can be seen of the engine, especially the case and the new stubby exhaust can, pointing to this being an all-new mill with liquid-cooling. The Karizma XMR, which appears to have ABS rings at both ends, will most likely be the first Hero product to include dual-channel ABS as standard.
Given that Hero always sells its vehicles aggressively, we anticipate it to be priced around Rs 1.8 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Karizma XMR will compete with the extremely popular Yamaha R15 V4 (Rs 1.81 lakh-Rs 1.94 lakh) and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 (Rs 1.92 lakh-Rs 2.02 lakh).
