Hero Xpulse 200 4V Teased Before Its Launch

Before its launch, Hero teased their first four-valve motorcycle, the Hero Xpulse 200 4V. The teasers arrive only a few days after the forthcoming motorcycle was first sighted testing.

Since its launch in 2019, the Xpulse 200 has gone through three iterations. The first was the BS4 model, which was quickly followed by the BS6 model, which included modifications such as an oil cooler, which helped to make it a more well-rounded package with improved engine refinement levels.

Things are likely to improve even more with the upcoming Hero Xpulse 200 4V. It seeks to replace its 199.6cc air-cooled engine’s simple two-valve OHC design with a four-valve layout. A four-valve system, on average, lets the engine breathe better at higher rpms, resulting in superior top-end performance. One can only presume that this is Hero’s goal here, while also ensuring that the powerful bottom-end performance required for off-roading is not sacrificed. The four-valve variant could outperform the earlier model’s 18.1hp and 16.45Nm power numbers.

The only visual distinctions between the bike and the present Xpulse are the 4V sticker on the tank and the blue and white dual-tone color scheme.
The XPulse 200 costs Rs 1.23 lakh right now (ex-showroom, Delhi). The four-valve version may cost an additional Rs 5,000 to 8,000.
