Honda has patented the CBF 190R in India, the motorcycle has been on sale in some international markets for a quite a time now and it seems Honda is considering to launch the motorcycle in India.
Filing of a patent doesn’t mean that a manufacturer may actually launch the product but might be considering launching it after evaluation or maybe after some years. As per the document, Honda had filed the patent in the month of June last year. It was revealed from the journal published by Intellectual Property India on 13/03/2020.
If sources are to be believed, Honda might release the CBF 190R under a different moniker or maybe include it into the Hornet or Unicorn family of motorcycles.
Honda CBF 190R is powered by a air-cooled, 184.4 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine which produces 15.8 hp of power and 15.3 Nm of torque, all of this coupled with a 5-speed gearbox.
If Honda launches the CBF 190R in India, it would be competing against the KTM 200 Duke, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
