Jeep Meridian Interior Teased (Video)
Jeep Brasil recently previewed the interior of the Commander, which will be known as Meridian in India, displaying the vehicle’s new upholstery and third row of seats.
Some of the SUV’s highlights are shown in the teaser trailer, including the digital instrument cluster, multifunctional steering wheel, and bronze effect trim on the center console and dashboard.
Although the dashboard looks identical to that of the 2021 Compass, it has suede trim with double stitching, which adds to the premium feel, and the armrest has a 1941 Jeep inscription on it.
Except for the middle seat in the second row, the leather seat covering is new, and all of the seats have diamond quilting.
The inside teaser video for the Jeep Meridian is brief, but it does reveal the third-row seats, which can be reached by flipping the 60:40-split second-row seats.
The two back seats appear to be large enough for adults, but it’s best to wait until you get a chance to try it out for yourself.
What can be known with certainty is that the Meridian will be available in a 6-seater version as well. The teaser video also shows off the second-row air-conditioning vent and the big panoramic sunroof.
The 3-row SUV, which will be on sale in the coming months, will have improved exterior styling compared to the Compass and will be powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that will send power to the wheels.
