Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition Launched At A Price Of Rs 11.85 Lakh
Kia has introduced the Sonet Aurochs Edition, which starts at Rs 11.85 lakh (ex-showroom). This new model is based on the HTX trim level and comes with 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engines.
In Sonet’s variation lineup, the Aurochs Edition lies between the HTX and HTX+ trims.
The Kia Sonet Aurochs Edition has received primarily cosmetic updates, similar to the Sonet Anniversary Edition, which debuted in October 2021. The Aurochs retains the previous edition’s beefier front skid plate, as well as tangerine highlights on the front bumper, grille, door sills, rear skid plate, and centre wheel caps. The grille is also emblazoned with the Aurochs logo in tangerine. Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Sparkling Silver, and Glacier White Pearl are the four hues offered for the SUV.
The Sonet Aurochs Edition’s feature set remains constant because it is based on the HTX trim. It comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, automatic LED headlights, a single-pane sunroof, drive modes, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cruise control, and other features. Four airbags, seat belt reminders for all seats, three-point seatbelts for all seats, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and other safety features are included.
It lacks features such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen, Bose sound system, connected car technology, and an air purifier as compared to the HTX+ trims.
The 120hp, 172Nm, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 116hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine are available for the Sonet Aurochs Edition. While both are coupled to the 6-speed iMT, the petrol is teamed with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and the diesel with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite are competitors.
