Mahindra BE Rall E Concept Revealed
At the Mahindra EV Fashion festival in Hyderabad, Mahindra unveiled the Rall-E, a brand-new concept EV SUV. The BE.05 concept, which made its debut in India with the Rall-E, is essentially an off-road-focused variation of the rugged-looking Rall-E. In addition, Mahindra debuted its XUV.e9 concept in India for the first time.
The BE.05 and XUV.e9, two of Mahindra’s five new ideas that will begin production in December 2024, were originally displayed in August 2022 at a London event.
Based on the BE.05 coupe-style SUV concept, the Rall-E has undergone significant design changes to fit its image as an off-road-capable substitute. The BE.05’s spherical, dramatically recessed headlights are replaced by a single slim strip in place of the C-shaped daytime running lights. Mahindra has given it more durable tyres while maintaining the coating on the profile. The BE.05’s C-shaped taillights are replaced with a single strip, and the rear bumper has an aggressive appearance.
A number of extras, including the roof-mounted carrier, the spare wheel perched on it, and a few jerry cans, complete the vehicle’s off-road appearance. Although inside views of the Rall-E are lacking, it is anticipated to resemble the BE.05 and be made of more durable materials to fit its outdoor-oriented personality.
The BE.05 coupe-SUV, also known as the Sport Electric Vehicle or SEV by Mahindra, is the entry-level model in the BE line. Large air dams and sharp C-shaped headlamps give it a muscular front look. The SUV has a significant presence thanks to its huge wheels and other prominent lines and creases in the design. Other appealing design elements include C-shaped taillights, flush door handles, and elaborate bumpers.
The XUV.e9 is a coupe-SUV like the XUV Aero, and it takes design cues from that vehicle. Certain features, like the LED lighting components, bumper-mounted headlight modules, and a closed-off grille, are reminiscent of the other XUV.e model, the XUV.e8. The XUV.e9’s gloss black coating is distinctive, nevertheless.
The BE.07, one of the additional vehicles in the BE lineup, has a more conventional SUV appearance and is around 4.6 meters long. The BE.09, another coupe SUV, which Mahindra claims would seat four people, is the final model in the BE line. The XUV.e8 is the EV equivalent of the XUV700 and is located below the XUV.e9 coupe SUV in the XUV.e lineup.
The identical INGLO platform, which is born-electric, will support both model lines. The Mahindra BE Rall E models will begin manufacturing in October 2025 after the XUV.e line begins production in December 2024. The manufacture of the XUV.e9 and BE.05 will begin in April 2025 and October 2025, respectively. Mahindra also anticipates the future production of the Rall-E.
