Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic And 4WD Prices Unveiled

After almost a full month since the SUV’s initial release, prices for the Mahindra Scorpio N Automatic And 4WD, and six-seater models have finally been disclosed. The 2.0 Petrol Z4 AT (7 seaters) costs Rs. 15.45 lakh, while the 2.0 Diesel Z8L AT (7 seaters) costs Rs. 23.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Beginning on July 30, bookings for the Scorpio will be accepted; deliveries will start on September 26.

The Mahindra Scorpio N variation range can be confusing to understand because there are so many conceivable combinations, but we will try to simplify it.

However, if you want 4WD, it’s only available on the diesel engine, even though it can be had with either the manual or automatic transmission. Both the petrol and diesel engines may be had with automatic gearboxes, each of which is a 6-speed torque-converter unit.

When it comes to the breakdown of trim levels, an automatic is available on the Z4, Z8, and Z8L trims but not the Z6 petrol. On the other side, the Z4, Z6, and Z8 trims come with the 4WD, which is only available with diesel engines. However, the six-seat captain chair option is only offered on the Z8L trim, which is the highest specification. Meanwhile, none of these new options are available for the base Z2 trim.

The procedure to reserve and buy a Scorpio N is almost as difficult to understand as the Scorpio N variant range. Following the June 27 staggered pricing revelation, Mahindra opened a “Add to Cart” function on its website on July 21 where customers could register their interest and preferred variation, and test drives at dealerships in a few locations started the following day.

Even though the final costs have finally been disclosed, reservations won’t open until July 30, one whole month after the SUV is introduced, and deliveries won’t start until September 26. The top-end Z8L variant would be prioritized for the initial deliveries based on client inquiry trends, according to Mahindra, who claims that over 20,000 vehicles are scheduled for initial deployment until December 2022.

The brand is sure that there won’t be much cannibalization because the two models appeal to quite different clientele and have a significant price overlap with Mahindra’s other popular SUV, the XUV700.
