Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Crosses 13000 Unit Bookings Within 7 Days!
Recently, Maruti Suzuki said that within 6 days of the Grand Vitara’s bookings opening, it had received over 13,000 reservations. Out of them, Strong hybrid Zeta and Alpha CVT models account for more than half of pre-orders. However, many Nexa dealerships began taking unauthorized reservations for this new SUV before the official booking period opened on July 16.
Two petrol engines provide the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara with its power. A 1.5-liter mild hybrid petrol engine with naturally aspirated displacement and 101 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque is the base engine option. It is coupled to a paddle-shifted 6-speed automatic transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission. The manual version is said to get 21.11 km/l of mileage, while the automated version gets 20.58 km/l. A 1.5-liter normally aspirated Atkinson Cycle engine with 92 horsepower and 122 Nm of torque is available in the Strong Hybrid model. and has an electric motor attached to it that generates 141 Nm of torque in addition to 79 horsepower for a total power output of 115 horsepower.
4345 mm is the length, 1645 mm is the width, and 1795 mm is the height of this Maruti mid-size SUV. The wheelbase has a 2600 mm rating. The front grille on the Hybrid model is finished in dark chrome, while the front grille on the Mild Hybrid is finished in regular chrome. It has three-element LED DRLs that double as turn indicators, and the DRLs are combined with a chrome strip. Below the DRLs, the LED headlamp is positioned lower down.
The Strong Hybrid versions’ interiors feature black leather with champagne gold accents and a stitch pattern that matches the interior. The interior of the Mild Hybrid version features Bordeaux faux leather with Luminant silver accents. The leather finish on the door pads and the passenger-side instrument panel is present. A 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ HD infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto is standard in the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara’s cabin.
Other features include Maruti’s Suzuki Connect, a connected car platform that offers more than 40 features, including remote A/C start, ventilated leather seats, a 7-inch MID, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, a heads-up display, 360-degree parking camera, a panoramic sunroof, and an auto-dimming IRVM. A/C vents, USB ports, and a central armrest are provided for the occupants in the back seat. Additionally, it has a 60:40 split feature.
