Matter Aera e-bike Launched At A Price Of Rs 1.44 Lakh
The Aera, the company’s first electric bicycle, is available for purchase through Matter Energy for Rs. 1.44 lakh for the base model with 5,000 units and Rs. 1.54 lakh for the model with 5,000+ units (ex-showroom, India, including FAME-II subsidy, excluding state subsidies). Although there will eventually be four different versions of the Aera, only two of them are now accessible.
The Aera’s 5kWh liquid-cooled battery has a stated real-world range of 125 km in both models. The Aera’s liquid-cooled motor is rated for a 10.5kW maximum stated peak power output. The Aera e-bike weighs about 180 kg, while the battery alone weighs about 40 kg. Its unique selling point is that it was the first electric bike to have a 4-speed transmission, and it is now the only one on the market.
A 7-inch touch-compatible display, optional Bluetooth connectivity, park assist, keyless entry, OTA updates, progressive blinkers, and welcome lights are all included in the Aera 5000. In comparison to the 5000, the 5000+ has Bluetooth connectivity as standard, as well as a lifestyle and care package, however, it is yet unknown what that package will include.
For the 5000 and 5000+ models, the Matter Aera e-bike costs Rs 1.44 lakh and Rs 1.54 lakh, respectively. A 3-year guarantee is included as standard with both the battery pack and the Aera. At this time, it is unknown if the charger is included in the pricing.
In the next 45 days, Matter Energy says it will launch its first experience center in Ahmedabad, and in the following three months, it plans to have 20 dealerships around the nation. According to the Ahmedabad-based start-up, that number will also increase to about 100 by the end of this year.
Pre-orders are now being accepted in metro areas and tier-1 cities including, but not limited to, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune, and Chennai. For the following 30 days, the Matter Aera will accept reservations. The business asserts that construction on its manufacturing plant began in November 2022.
When queried about the delivery schedules, the business stated it would only say that deliveries will start this summer.
