Toyota Hilux Launched At A Price Of ₹33.99 Lakh

Toyota has finally introduced the Hilux in India after a long wait. The Indian-spec Hilux was unveiled in January, and pre-orders began shortly after. Surprisingly, owing to extraordinary demand, Toyota had to halt pre-bookings for its pick-up vehicle. For the basic 444 MT, the Hilux begins at 33.99 lakh. The pricing of the High 44 MT and AT is 35.80 lakh and 36.80 lakh, respectively. In India, the Toyota Hilux will compete against the Isuzu D-Max in the niche sector of lifestyle pickup trucks.

The Toyota Hilux, like the Innova and Fortuner, is built on the IMV-2 platform. However, this truck is substantially longer than the two automobiles, measuring just under 5.3 meters in length with a wheelbase of over 3 meters, making it a road giant. The Hilux is available in India in a double-cab body type. This truck is about the same width as the Indian Fortuner. This vehicle has a big hexagonal grille at the front that is covered with plastic.

The LED headlights protrude from the grille and follow the border of the fender perfectly. The flared wheel arches wrap around the 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels on the side. A much-needed sidestep is also shown. The chrome finish extends to the rearview mirrors and door handles. A body-colored fender mirror is also included. The back, like with other pickup trucks, is straightforward, with modest LED taillights and a cargo bed gate. Overall, this car’s tough and off-road stuff is perfectly crammed within its round arches.

A number of pieces in the Hilux’s interior are shared with the Innova and Fortuner. On the dashboard and door pads, there is soft-touch material all around. The facelifted Fortuner’s multi-function steering wheel and instrument cluster with the color MID remain. Leather seats, dual-zone temperature control, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, automatic headlights, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a cooled glovebox, a reverse camera, and an auto-dimming IRVM are just a few of the amenities.

The Toyota Hilux comes in two different versions: Low and High. Only a manual transmission is available in the low model, which is available in two colors: white and grey. Both manual and automatic transmissions are offered in the high version. Pearl white, grey, silver, and red will be among the color options.
