Toyota Innova Crysta Diesel Bookings Stopped
Our dealer sources tell us that Toyota has halted bookings for the diesel versions of the Innova Crysta and that delivery may also be impacted.
Dealers claim that the lack of semiconductors has caused a halt to reservations for the Innova Crysta diesel. The Fortuner, which has a separate diesel engine, is unaffected by this. For the diesel type, Toyota will honor all orders placed up to early August in accordance with the deadline; however, any additional orders placed this month are likely to be delayed for a few months. Whether the diesel versions will once again be offered is unclear.
Toyota will unveil the following-generation Innova, which may be known as the Innova Hycross, later this year. The new Innova model, which is anticipated to enter the market around the holiday season, will be marketed alongside the existing one. Based on Toyota’s TNGA-C chassis, the Innova Hycross is anticipated to only have a petrol hybrid engine.
Both the 166hp, 2.7-liter diesel engine and the 150hp, 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel engine power the Innova Crysta. Both provide power to the rear wheels either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. A seven- or eight-seat configuration of the Innova Crysta is available.
