Toyota Innova Hycross To Debut On November 25
Bookings for the upcoming Innova Hycross will be taken starting on November 25, the day the brand-new MPV built specifically for India makes its debut. Prices will probably be revealed during the forthcoming Auto Expo in 2023, and deliveries are anticipated to start in mid-January.
Since a few years ago, SUVs have become increasingly popular in India, and with the release of the new Innova, Toyota appears to be following suit. The Innova Hycross’s first official teaser shows that the automaker wants to win over SUV consumers as well as those looking to purchase a three-row MPV.
The Toyota Innova Hycross will have an aggressive design mimicking the Corolla Cross SUV that is sold abroad, as seen in leaked photographs, and a more SUV-like snout with an upright and butch-looking grille. Although the new Hycross is anticipated to have a side profile that is clearly similar to an Innova, Toyota is likely to offer body cladding and somewhat broader fenders, akin to the Veloz (also sold internationally), to give the model a more SUV-like appearance.
The Toyota Innova Hycross is a brand-new vehicle from the ground up, as we’ve previously reported. The ladder-frame rear-wheel-drive IMV architecture has been replaced with the front-wheel-drive TNGA modular monocoque platform, which represents a significant departure from the preceding design. This should give the new Innova Hycross more interior space and a car-like feel.
Additionally, the new Innova Hycross will offer features that were not present in earlier Innova models. According to Toyota, higher-end vehicles will come equipped with a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a big touchscreen, a fully digital instrument panel, and leather seats for the second row with an ottoman function. All three rows should have their own dedicated AC vents, and even the front row should have cooled seats.
In India, Toyota has intensified its attention on complete hybrid vehicles. The Hyryder was the company’s first successful mass-market hybrid product, and the Innova Hycross will soon follow suit. The new Innova Hycross will have a 2.0-liter powerful hybrid powertrain as well as a 2.0-liter normally aspirated gasoline engine. On the future Innova Hycross, a diesel engine
On November 21, the Hycross will make its Indonesian premiere as the Innova Zenix. On November 25, it will be unveiled in India. In a first, Maruti Suzuki will also release a Toyota Innova Hycross variant that will go on sale in the middle of 2023.
