Whats new in 2020 Volkswagen Polo GT TSI?
Besides all the problems that the Indian auto industry is going through due to COVID-19, one thing that 2020 will be remembered is the multiple numbers of cars that the Indian auto industry is launching this year, with a promise of affordable price and performance.
Volkswagen Polo GT line is one of the few cars that pioneer this segment. As the Abarth Punto and Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS have been discontinued, Volkswagen Polo GT has landed directly on the BS6 era but in the petrol-only form.
The 2020 Polo GT is featured with a 1.0-liter 3 cylinder turbo-petrol engine also with the Polo Highline Plus and even the BS6 Vento which will increase its efficiency by 5hp than the BS4 model which only enabled 105hp and 175Nm of torque.
The BS4 Polo GT TSI was having a 7-Speed dual-clutch automatic transmission only while the BS6 model only has a 6-speed manual clutch, which means the BS6 might not be as powerful as its ancestor. With an ARAI-rated 18.24kpl, the BS6 Polo GT TSI is much more capable than the BS4 model which was having a mileage of 17.21kpl.
The 2020 Volkswagen Polo is offered in 4 variants: Trendline, Comfortline, Highline Plus, and GT and is much more affordable than the BS4 model and is priced from Rs 5.83 lakh to Rs 9.60 lakh.
The all-new TSI engine embedded in the Polo improve the Polo’s appeal in front of its rivals like the Tata Altroz, Hyundai Elite i20, and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
