Yamaha R Series Sport Bike Teased
Yamaha has released a teaser video of its forthcoming R Series sportbike on its YouTube channel.
The latest teaser video of Yamaha references the impending revelation of a Yamaha R Series Sport Bike but doesn’t show any details about the motorcycle.
The video instead shows a rider-eye view of the track as the motorcycle flows from the corner on a track. At the center of the film, the view switches to a twisty mountain lane, which suggests that both tracks and roads use a new motorcycle Yamaha R Series.
In November 2020, when Yamaha announced intentions to suspend the road-law variant of the YZF-R6, a major announcement was made.
But there is speculation that the upcoming 2021 Yamaha MT-07 motorcycle of the R Series may be based on a new Yamaha midweight R motorcycle. The exhaustion of the motorcycle sounded like the parallel-twin engineMT-07 in the Teaser film.
Yamaha has just filed the YZF-R7 name with the California Air Resources Board, adding additional fuel to rumors (CARB). The filings of CARB show that the colored systems may be the basis of two registrations for the YZF-R7 –‘YZFR7NCB’ and the ‘YZFR7NCL.’ The frame can also be transported, as the weight stated in the CARB documentation is again equivalent to the weight stated in the MT-07.
Sadly, no launch date is mentioned in the Yamaha teaser video and some teaser videos are to be seen down the road, presumably with a look at the motorcycle. However, there should be plenty to look forward to on Yamaha’s latest R Series engine.
