2020 Toyota Yaris facelift teased ahead of its debut in International market
Toyota is expected to announce the Vios sedan facelift which is offered in India as the Yaris. The new Vios will be launched in the Philippines on July 25, 2020, which will be the second major facelift to the sedan after the current-gen was released in the ASEAN region in 2013.
The recent mid-size sedan teasers indicate that the redesigned 2020 Toyota Yaris is having a refreshed front fascia, replenished with a revamped bumper, modern LED headlamps, and a modified upper grill.
The restyled front bumper incorporates a central trapezoidal air barrier, with the top edge blacking out between the headlamps to give it a Lexus-like appearance. The fog lamps are located on either side of the air barrier, in modern C-shaped recesses. This upgrade will also include new alloy wheel construction, as well as a significantly altered rear style.
For upholstery and infotainment, assume slight style changes on board. Under the hood, no adjustments are expected to arise, with the current fuel offerings of the brand (1,3-liter and 1,5-liter petrol in foreign markets) unchanged to move on.
While the current-gen Yaris made their debut in India back in 2018, the car was not a sales hit. As we mentioned earlier, fleet operators would soon be given the Yaris, as well as a substitute for the now-retired Etios sedan. There is no confirmation of the 2020 Toyota Yaris heading to India at this point. In the immediate future, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be rebadged as a Scion as well as Toyota’s sedan line-up for India goes.
About the forthcoming releases of the company, Toyota will shortly introduce the Urban Cruiser SUV, built-in Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, to Indian showrooms. On top of that, mid-cycle changes are planned for the Fortuner SUV.
