2021 Audi E-Tron GT Unveiled
The Audi E-Tron GT has been introduced in two versions – regular and a sporty RS.
The 2021 Audi E-Tron GT is closely related in style to the first 2018 E-Tron GT concept. The 4-door electric lineup is therefore almost similar with its roofline, large track, broad shoulder line, and low bonnet, and has heavily curve proportions.
A modern interpretation of the grille for Audi single frames on the E-Tron-GT is also equipped with the honeycomb-set style grille with a black surround in body color. The grille is primarily intended for hiding a variety of sensors used by the car assist system rather than cooling them off.
Other specifications include LED headlights and taillights with animation for the feature ‘coming and leaving home.’
A 238hp electric motor with front axle control and a 435hp motor on the rear axle, all-wheel drive, are features of the regular E-Tron GT Quattro. The two engines achieve 475hp and 630Nm overall machine performance. However, when the boost mode uses launch control, it takes full power to 530hp for 2.5 sec. The effective velocity is 245kph, at 4.1sec 0-100kpm.
It uses a 2-speed rear-engine transmission with a short first-gear acceleration transmission and a long-ratio Second gear transmission for better output and reliability.
Allowing it to attain a 50:50 weight distribution, the 85kWh battery is fitted at the lowest point possible.
The 2021 Audi E-Tron GT is expected to be launched in India at the end of 2021. It may come with 3 trims- Regular, S, and RS. We expect the Audi E-Tron GT to be priced at the higher side which is around Rs 1.6 crore(ex-showroom). It will rival Porsche Taycan. It will be the first EV for the carmakers.
